Overview
Nanxi Wetland Park is located in the core area of the southern new city of Changchun, Jilin province. It features an artificial wetland system that simulates a natural ecological wetland.
The park spans an area of 310 hectares of wetland, equivalent to 1.4 times the size of Nanhu Park. The park includes activity areas, dining areas, and viewing areas, integrating leisure, entertainment, and business functions.
Main Attractions
Upon entering Nanxi Wetland Park, visitors are greeted by a natural palette of green grass, blue skies, and white clouds. Walking along the boardwalks and winding paths, the unique wetland beauty unfolds. The park offers numerous ecological landscapes that are romantic, natural, and rich in cultural characteristics.
Light and Shadow Bridge
Light and Shadow Island is connected to both banks of the Yitong River by the Light and Shadow Bridge. The island features an urban performance space and a circular plaza. The Light and Shadow Tower, standing 28 meters tall, is a landmark structure along the southern new city’s landscape axis. The Light and Shadow Bridge, a pedestrian bridge across the Yitong River, is 650 meters long.
Changbai Cultural Park
Located on the west side of the Yitong River, Changbai Cultural Park preserves the original ponds and vegetation, while building a lakeside promenade to create a tranquil, tree-lined waterfront space. This cultural park serves as a serene oasis amidst the surrounding high-rise buildings.
Ecological Island
Situated in the middle of the Yitong River, Ecological Island covers an area of approximately 10 hectares and serves as a home for numerous birds.
